Under the WHS Act employers are required to have an agreed method of consultation. WHS Committees are often the preferred method for medium to large employers. However, there are no legal requirements to train committee members who may become involved in providing advice and support on the management of WHS issues and the policies and procedures required to ensure that this occurs effectively.
